Eb5 visa – for Green card

An  eb5 visa  is a U.S. visa which provides you the opportunity to obtain a green card, provided you are willing to invest money in the country. This is one of the quickest way to ensure that your family members, under the age of 21, can enjoy citizen rights as well as educational and employment opportunities just like any other U.S. citizen. After five years of possession of the green card, they can apply for citizenship.

The foreign national must invest a million dollars in private firms or half a million dollars in U.S. government approved Targeted Employment Areas, which are rural areas or areas having a high unemployment rate. In addition to your investment, it must be made sure that your money provides employment to 10 U.S. citizens, excluding you or your family members.

The main benefit of getting an eb5 visa is that you will immediately granted a green card, given that you meet all their requirements. Moreover, you would not have to worry about having family connections, setting up businesses or finding a job; in order to get your visa approved. With the introduction of the visa, regional centers have been able to provide almost 10,000 jobs with an investment of 400 million dollars.

This program was introduced to tackle the recession problems by improving the economic strength and employment rate through foreign investments. However, if you are interested in getting an eb5 visa, now would be the best time since it is uncertain whether the program will gain approval after September 2012.
